A Center for Building Community

Thank you for being a Friend of the Annual Appeal! Just two years ago, the new Lauri Ann West Community Center opened and was enthusiastically welcomed by our entire community. Your energy and commitment helped build the Center, creating a unique resource with fitness, arts and educational opportunities for all. We are now looking forward to building upon this legacy for generations to come.

Our opening months welcomed many new community faces who were coming to enjoy the fitness center, attend a class or two, or pick up their kids from after school programs. These were short visits, meant to accomplish a goal, but little by little we noticed a transformation. Our neighbors began staying at the Center longer than they intended. They would catch up with neighbors, chatting with friends in person, not just online, and find fellowship during their visits.

In short, the Lauri Ann West Community Center became more than a building built by the community; it became a Center for Building Community.

We have big plans for the future – expanding our offerings, bringing new programming into our neighborhoods and working with more diverse groups whose members will benefit from the Center – but we need your generous donation to make these plans a reality.

Your support of the 2017 Annual Appeal will directly impact our ability to continue Building Community. Please consider making a donation today. Simply click here to make a secure online donation with your credit card – you will be directed to Daxko, a secure online giving site.

Thank you again for your ongoing support in Building Community at the Lauri Ann West Community Center! Together, we are making a difference.
