Attention Spellers! Stage Right proudly presents the hilarious musical The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Beeat Boyd Community Center in O’Hara Township,September 10-12 and 17-19 at 8 p.m.

Actually, even if you are a horrible speller, you can still fall in love with this show! The story centers on a fictional spelling bee, with six quirky adolescents competing in the Bee which is run by three equally quirky grown-ups.The 2005 Broadway production of the “Spelling Bee” was nominated for six Tony Awards, winning two, one for “Best Book.” What makes this show extra fun is the inclusion of audience members who are brought up on stage to actually participate in the spelling bee alongside the six young characters!

This is Stage Right’s last show in Boyd Community Center “gymnatorium,” and they plan to go out with a bang! The group looks forward to moving into the beautiful new Lauri Ann West Community Center, which is expected to be completed this fall. If you have never been to a Stage Right show at Boyd, this is your last chance to see one, with all it’s quirky charm!

Tickets are $15 per person, and include light refreshments served during intermission. Audience members may bring wine and beer, but no spirits please.  Students with valid I.D. may enjoy $5 admission at any of the performances.

Just Added Lab Ratz Classes this Fall!

This class presents basic science principles in an engaging, hands-on manner which encourages students to be inventive and creative, to question the world around them, and make discoveries through firsthand experimentation.
Fun, safe, and educational, Lab Ratz Science Club addresses flagging interest in the sciences among students nationwide. By catering to the natural curiosity of children, Lab Ratz Science Club creates a learning environment where students are led to answers through questioning and hands-on experimentation, rather than with lectures.  In addition, the individual creativity of each participant is stimulated to promote problem solving and to apply concepts.
Every session explores a different topic and never repeats, so your student will have a different lesson to look forward to every week.
