Batik is a traditional decorative fiber art and craft form that has been practiced around the world for centuries. The artisans of Africa use meal to create batiks with unique style and appearance. Class includes introduction to design and patterns with instruction in hands-on techniques to create three finished pieces. A material cost of approximately $67, payable to the instructor, includes three finished pieces – pillow, napkin and tote bag.
