Grown Up & Me ages 18 mos. – 3 years (virtual!)
Grown-up & Me classes offer an introduction to the art of ballet in a nurturing environment. Children can begin to explore the world of dance through movement, music, and rhythm. Link to join will be sent out after registration.
Pre-Ballet age 6
Imagery, imagination and self-expression are explored as you learn pre-ballet and beginning ballet. Classes take place in the dance studio, which has ballet barres, a multi-purpose sports floor for extra comfort, and mirrored walls. No pre-evaluation or placement class required. Wear a black Lycra leotard, pink (not shiny), tights and leather ballet shoes to class. Instructor: Marcie Day, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre. Safety: Floor will be marked for dancers to be socially distanced. Facial coverings will be required at all times.
All classes are on Tuesdays from September 15 – October 20.
Ballet Foundations ages 7-9
The fundamentals of ballet are encouraged to develop through barre and floor exercises, French terminology, and other basic ballet concepts. Designed for students with little or no prior ballet experience. Instructor: Marcie Day, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre. Safety: Floor will be marked for dancers to be socially distanced. Facial coverings will be required at all times.
Beginning Ballet for Adults ages 18+ (virtual!)
This class is online and is designed for the adult student who has little or no prior ballet experience or who is easing back into ballet. Class invite will be sent online! Instructor: Marcie Day, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre.
