Alternate textWe are aware that many families in our community are in need of full day care with the new hybrid schooling model. As a state certified program, we have taken the time to evaluate the strict guidelines relating to how we can safely and effectively provide care during the school day. After careful consideration, we are pleased to share that the Lauri Ann West Community Center will be offering full day care for the three days per week that your child is not physically in school.

Please contact Jason Fate at or 412-828-8566 to register as soon as possible. Limited spots are available!

Running daily beginning Monday, August 31 from 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. We plan to offer full day care in coordination with FCASD’s schedule. The program will continue to be evaluated, balancing family’s needs and satisfaction with the capabilities of the Community Center.

This program is open to hybrid learners in grades K – 5 with 16 maximum spots available per day. We have 16 spots available each of the two cohort days opposite of your child’s school days and 16 total spots available on Wednesdays.

In the morning, children will work on their assigned school work with the supervision of our state certified instructors. While the morning will be dedicated to school work, it may not provide enough time for all children to complete their school work for the day. Our staff will be able to help get them started and answer limited questions, but they are not trained teachers and will not be able to provide one-on-one tutoring for any child.

The afternoon will offer children to take part in all of the great things that we are known for- time creating in our Maker Studio, playing outside, and doing activities in our gymnasium. While this will not be a typical school setting, a day at the Community Center will still give children structure, socialization, and the opportunity to learn alongside their peers.

$55 per day. You must commit to the two cohort days opposite of your child’s school days (e.g. M&Th or T&F) and/or Wednesday. We ask that families commit to their scheduled full days each week for the eight weeks of the program.
