You asked and we listened…We added more virtual group ex classes!

Winter is coming and people’s lives are getting busier. But we’re here to help you stay connected to the Center and take part in all the group ex classes you love. Besides our existing virtual classes, now ALL of Theresa’s classes are available virtually. We have 15 virtual classes a week with more coming soon – keep an eye on the schedule! Our goal is to offer you as many live, virtual classes as possible. Just register in Mindbody like a regular group ex class and we’ll send you a link to join live.

Last Friday marked the final day of our Full Day Learning Pods. We are so thankful to the families in the program for their trust, help, and understanding through these last two months. It was a privilege to be able to provide this service, and truly a team effort between FCASD teachers, our instructors, parents, caregivers, and students.

Should the need for Full Day Learning Pods arise again, we will make a quick assessment on how to turn around care and we will communicate what we can offer to families as quickly as possible. Starting Thursday, November 5 we will resume offering our Arts & Enrichment After School Program five days a week. Limited spots remain, so please contact Jason Fate ASAP if you are interested.

“Thank you and the rest of the team for all your hard work in creating a safe and productive environment! Obviously it’s a been a trying time for everyone, and I can’t tell you how much of a relief it has been for my wife and I to be able to be able to drop him off and know he’d be able to get his work done in a safe way and give us the time to also get our work done.”  – Full Day Learning Pod Parent

From the Fox Chapel Area High School Counseling Department:

This week, try thinking about what types of places you have been or would like to travel to that might help you feel relaxed and calm. List five locations and star the top two locations that you find most relaxing. Then for those top two, write down two images that comes to mind for each. Next, search online for an image that you can save that best fits the description of your calming image. Whenever you feel your mind start to wander or you begin to feel stressed, take a moment and pull up that image.

“Infuse your life with action. Don’t wait for it to happen. Make your own future. Make your own hope. Make your own love.”
– Bradley Whitford

We’ve always been a place to unite and inspire our community, but these days that just means more. Maybe after a stressful day you’re able to come escape in a group ex class with your favorite instructor. Maybe we’re a safe place for your child to be able to interact with other kids for a few hours after school. Or maybe, just knowing that there are people here who care about you is the reason that you’re able to stick to your routine. Whatever your reason for being a part of the Center right now, know that we deeply value having you here.
