Now enrolling for new classes starting October 27
We’re excited to add more 4 week programs for both children and adults beginning later this month. These programs were chosen for their ability to be held outdoors or physically distanced in the space that we have available inside the Community Center. Programs running the weeks of October 26 – November 16 include:
You may have noticed a new addition in front of the Community Center. Thanks to Girl Scout Troop 52231, the Center is now a proud location for a Little Free Library. The troop graciously decorated several libraries for locations around the community and offered to give one to the Center, complete with books to get it started. Thank you, Girl Scouts!
If you’re not familiar with a Little Free Library, it’s a free book-sharing box where anyone can take or share a book. The library functions on the honor system – you don’t need to share a book in order to take one. If you take a book or two from the library, try to bring some back to share when you can. Our library is all stocked and ready to go. Happy reading!
We’re nearly through the first quarter of the school year and we’re so proud of how well all of the students and staff have been adapting to the changes to our programs. Some families may be still be in need of childcare and we are here to help. Our Arts & Enrichment After School Program (3:30 – 6:00 p.m.) and our Full Day Learning Pods (8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.) each have a few spots remaining on select days. If you are interested in registering your child, please contact Jason Fate as soon as possible.

This week’s practice is all about the breath and our thoughts. Bringing calm to our breath brings calm to our thoughts. Try balloon breathing by finding a comfortable seat on the floor or in a chair and following the breathing techniques described here.
Balloon breathing is a great way to start the day, as it is energizing and relieves tension in the shoulders that can make breath short.
