Campers will design, create, and explore all things that can move. With a bit of help from physics, we will develop fun rubber band-powered cars, paper airplanes, and even kinetic toys such as marble runs. In each class, we will discover new ways to set material in motion using gravity, wind, and stored energy.
Delve into a week of action and adventure as we explore the stories, and create our own Minotaur’s labyrinth, Pandora’s box, Artemis’s bow, and Telos’s robotic hand!
Are you sneaky, quick-thinking, and resourceful? Then join the Secret Organization of Spies! Each day you will learn how to craft grappling hooks, extend-o-grabbers, and periscopes using simple materials from around the house! Also, as an important part of your spy training, you will learn the art of creating and sending messages through various secret codes!
Explore and test the amazing substance known as water! This week is a perfect blend of art making, science experiments, and play! Create machines using hydraulics, learn the science of sailboats, and attempt to make the worlds biggest soap bubble and more!
Using simple materials we will learn how to construct the components of a miniature golf course! Campers will determine the length, shape, structure, traps and ramps! Will it be winding? Will it have obstacles? How can we make components that move? On Friday, groups will take turns visiting our all-camp mini golf course!
STEAM is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math. This week is jam-packed with fun activities within the five subjects to encourage creativity, learning and problem-solving. Each day we will explore different hands-on outdoor activities, science experiments and engineering challenges!
Each day, we will learn how the forces of lift, drag, thrust and gravity can be used to make things that fly and soar through the air! Spend the week discovering the secrets of flight as we build and experiment with helicopters, gliders, helium balloons, paper airplanes, kites and rockets!
Hello folks! Step right up to carnival camp! This week campers will put their minds together to create their own carnival games and prizes! From cardboard skee-ball, balloon animals and even a dunk tank, the campers are the creators. On Friday, it all comes together for a fun, all-camp carnival, where campers showcase their creations, play games and win prizes.
For this one-week mission, you will learn to think and solve problems like real NASA engineers! Through fun, hands-on activities, we will apply science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) skills to solve fun challenges facing our trip to space. Our mission will include landing safely on the planet’s surface, creating space vehicles to pick up and collect rock samples and designing a rocket to blast off back to earth!
Put on your city planning hats! This camp is all about imagination, invention and collaboration. Campers will use various supplies and materials ranging from fabric and perler beads to cardboard, and 3D printers to design and create their own storefronts, store names and products. Campers can collaborate with a friend or make one on their own! Create your wares by hand or use a ChompShop and laser cutter to develop your ideas. On Friday, all the town’s parts will be assembled in one space, open for all campers to run their stores and visit different parts of town!
