The best part of our afternoon just walked through the door — our Arts and Enrichment After School program students!
There’s nothing like seeing the kids arrive with big smiles, stories from the day, and extra energy. We are delighted to give them a safe, fun space to unwind and grow after the school day.
Here’s to another afternoon of learning, laughter, and connection.

Progress isn’t just about showing up — it’s about transforming habits, mindset, and confidence.
Don Ziegler shares the following about his personal training sessions at Lauri Ann West Community Center:
Training with Brandon has been most helpful to me in two areas. Both from a workout and dietary perspective. My balance has greatly improved. And my eating routine has been modified for the better. Thanks so much for the insight and help you have provided.
Don, we are thrilled to be part of your fitness journey.
Our team is committed to helping everyone reach new milestones and feel your best inside and out!

In celebration of Employee Appreciation Day, our incredible team came together on Saturday evening for a joy‑filled gathering! It was a wonderful chance to honor the work we do, the impact we make, and—most importantly—the amazing people who make it all possible.
A huge THANK YOU to Michelle Drum for bringing this event to life and for highlighting the many ways our team members make a difference every day.

Get to know Personal Trainer Ashley
Ashley’s journey with Lauri Ann West began back in 2024, but her love of fitness started long before that when she was in high school. From the moment she joined our team, she brought an energy that made people feel both supported and capable.
She often says her favorite part of the job is “watching my clients reach their goals and seeing their progress puts a huge smile on my face!”
What many don’t know is that Ashley’s empathy comes from experience. She understands the frustration and vulnerability of starting over because she’s lived it. “Recovering from two labral tears in my hips, with back-to-back surgeries, was challenging. Recovery was long and painful, taking over a year before feeling like myself again. As someone who is very physically active, being forced to slow down and step back was both mentally and physically difficult, testing my patience and resilience in ways I hadn’t experienced before.” Her comeback shaped not only her strength, but her approach to helping others find theirs.
Outside of our community center, Ashley spends time with her husband, their two kids, and their two dogs, where life is full of the kind of everyday moments that keep her grounded.
Stop and say hi to Ashley next time you see her in the fitness center.

Last week, our Arts & Enrichment After School program students wrapped up their Winter Games with a closing ceremony. Students gathered around the symbolic, magical flame—watching as it flickered for the last time before being gently extinguished. It wasn’t just the end of the games; it was a moment to celebrate their time together.
Medalists stepped forward to be recognized for events like the curling, speed skating, and relay races. Students felt their "we did it" moments as cheers filled the room.
Now, with the Winter Games behind them, our A&E students are turning their focus to preparing for their Art Show. #A&E@LauriAnnWestCC #YouBelongHere #LauriAnnWestCC
