Sue Golier Memorial Speaker Series: Doug Oster Presents Organic Gardening 101

May 4 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Pittsburgh garden guru Doug Oster will discuss techniques to have a great garden even with ravenous deer circling the landscape! He’ll also touch on some of the other four legged pests that can be problematic.

Oster is a lifelong organic gardener and will explain how easy it is to make the switch and the benefits of growing naturally. One of the problems gardeners have struggled with are fungal diseases attacking tomatoes. He has a fool proof way to keep the plants healthy. Oster will also talk about his favorite low maintenance deer resistant perennial flowers! Whether you’re new to gardening or a seasoned tender to your backyard oasis, Doug Oster has something to offer everyone! Simply put, he loves writing about gardening and highlighting gardeners. Beyond writing, Doug is also an Emmy Award-winning producer, and television host.

We’re exited to share Doug’s insight on battling deer and other four legged pests in the garden, Organic Gardening 101, growing disease free tomatoes and his favorite perennial flowers.
