Fifty (50) percent of the rental fee is due at time of reservation, and the remaining amount due thirty (30) days prior to the contract date. Recurring monthly contracts are billed to a credit card on the first (1st) of the month. We accept cash, Visa, Master Card and checks. Please make checks payable to Lauri Ann West Community Center. Credit card information will be placed on file and charged only in the event of damage, repairs or replacement of Lauri Ann West property. Also, a $50 clean up fee for small rooms, $150 – $250 for larger/community rooms will be charged if the room is not returned to original condition. Any damage that occurs will be assessed and the Licensee will be liable for payment. Hourly fees will be doubled and charged if the room is not vacated within ½ hour after allotted time.

1. A two week notice is required for all cancellations. If you notify us two weeks prior, fees will be refunded minus a 5% processing fee. Cancellations within two weeks are not eligible for a refund.

2. The Community Center reserves the right to cancel a contract, providing a two week notice to the licensee in which case fees will be fully refunded. In the event of any act beyond the Licenser’s control such as unforeseen casualty, occurrence, or inclement weather, that renders the facility closed or inoperable, this agreement terminates and Licenser shall refund in full all charges to the Licensee. The return of the charge shall be the licensee’s sole and exclusive remedy for termination of this Agreement and the licensee hereby waives any claim for damages or compensation as a result related to termination under this paragraph.

Inclement Weather
The Lauri Ann West Community Center strives to remain open to the public during inclement weather and will make every effort to do so as long as conditions are not hazardous. When the Center is closed, either completely or for part of the day, we will post a message on KDKA, our website,, and our main phone line 412 828 8566 x 101. If you have rented a room or the gym, and you cancel your event, please contact us on the main line 412 828 8566 x 101 and contact your attendees to inform them that you have canceled. If the center is open and you cancel your event, a refund is not provided. If the center is closed during your scheduled event, you may be refunded in full or reschedule. Please be advised that a power outage or other situation may warrant the closing of the Center. While it is our goal to serve the community, safety of our customers and staff is our number one concern. Please check the web-site and KDKA. The Rental Coordinator will make every effort to contact the leasee.

Keep the facility clean and dispose of garbage in a clean, safe manner. Trash bags will be provided for renters use. Return the room its original condition (with the exception of vacuuming/ mopping the floor, wiping tables). Remove/throw away/recycle ALL items that have been brought in. This includes any decorations, balloons, table cloths, food items, beverage cans and containers, boxes, food/candy wrappings etc. (If renting as a birthday party package, clean up is included in the package price). Place trash can outside in hallway when clean-up is complete. Alert staff immediately of any damage in the room, including spills of food or drink onto the floor. Alcohol is allowed but may not be sold.


The Center is a public facility, with simultaneous users. Renters should assume there is a group before and after them, and concurrent events. Renters/users are required to ensure that attendees minimize disruption, remain in the rooms rented, clean up space after use, and are courteous to other renters/users. The signer of the rental agreement is responsible for the attendees of their event.

Age & Supervision:
You must be 18 years of age to rent. The Community Center reserves the right to require professional security guards at large events at a ratio of one per 30 attendees. It is the responsibility of the renter to retain and compensate all security guards. The Community Center may also require additional staff supervision in which case additional fees will be charged. Number of guests may not exceed number provided in contract. Children must be supervised at all times. Observation of children and guests in unauthorized areas, unruly behavior, and disregard for neighbors, other guests, or property will not be tolerated and may result in the event being discontinued, with no refund provided. An additional fee of $20/hour will be added if there are more than 20 children under the age of 18 in attendance.

Room rental does not include use of the gymnasium (unless it’s a birthday party package and the activity is taking place in there), track, fitness facility, kitchen, or any other additional room. Guests are not permitted in these areas. Café seating area and Patio may be used, understanding that these areas are public spaces, unless specifically rented and reserved. Gymnasium rental does not include use of the track and fitness facility.

Following O’Hara Township Park rules, no amplified music after 8 p.m. on the patio and music cannot exceed 60 decibels. Please do not leave doors or window open during loud events as the sound can easily carry to neighbors or other renters/users of the Center. All events end at 10 p.m. unless otherwise indicated in the application and has been approved by the Center.

No apparatus, furniture or equipment other than what was disclosed in the rental contract is to be moved into the Center without prior approval from the Center. These items must be properly removed immediately after use. The Center may consider request of exceptions or special circumstances. No furniture from the inside of the building can be moved outside without prior approval from the Center.

Event Plan:
The renter/user is required to furnish in writing at the time of the reservation any information pertinent to the event to the Center to determine space arrangements, special services, rental and catering services, and equipment necessary to the staging and proper management of the event. The renter is responsible for oversight and coordination with outside agencies.

The Community Center does not provide any paper products, glassware or supplies.
Licensee and guests are expected to use in a reasonable manner all electrical, plumbing, sanitary, heating and other facilities. Please check with staff prior to the event if electrical needs exceed the use of one or two low (60) volt items.
Lauri Ann West Community Center is a non-smoking facility.
Renters/users are responsible for advertising, ticket taking, and fee collection of their own events.

Licensee shall comply with all ordinances, rules, regulations and laws of any public authorities, boards and personnel relating to the facility or use thereof including, without limitation, Licenser and the Township of O’Hara. Further, Licensee shall not use or occupy any part thereof for any purpose of use in violation of any law, statute, or ordinance, whether federal, state, or municipal, or in violation of any rule or regulation of Licenser which Licenser has adopted or may adopt from time to time.

Hold Harmless:
Licensee shall indemnify, defend and hold Licenser harmless from and against any and all claims, demands, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising out of the licensee’s negligence in connection with, any accident, injury or damage whatsoever caused to any person or property arising, directly or indirectly, out of classes or events held at the facility, and from any act or omission of Licensee or its agents, contractors, servants, employees, representatives, or invitees, including, without limitation actual damages suffered by Licenser out of any breach of License Agreement.
