Sue Golier Memorial Speaker Series: Moonshot Museum – Pittsburgh to the Moon!

June 9 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Staff from the new Moonshot Museum, will discuss Pittsburgh’s contributions to the future of space exploration.  Meet the fleet of robotic landers and rovers, under construction on Pittsburgh’s Northside, that will return America to the lunar surface. Using astronomy visualization software, explore lunar craters, mountains, and “seas.”  Explore the predictive power of science fiction in shaping visions for future lunar settlements. Moonshot Museum is the only museum in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to focus exclusively on space exploration.  It offers an unprecedented opportunity to get up close to the workings of the 21st century space industry. This program is geared toward adult audiences but is appropriate for older students as well.

Made possible by the Sue Golier Speaker Series Endowment. Light bites are provided by Aspinwall Everyday Gourmet.

This is a free community event but tickets need to be reserved. Seating is on a first come first served basis.

Doors Open at 1:30 pm
