New Maker Studio Programs Announced!

 

Maker Time w/ Mr. Wade: Parachutes, Helicopters, Gliders

Have you ever thought about why birds, planes and frisbees can glide through the air, while most objects simply fall to the ground? In this class, kids will learn how planes, parachutes, rockets and helicopters fly by building and testing models of their own! This STEAM class will expose kids to the flight concepts of lift, drag, thrust and gravity, while having fun with models that can be taken home and tested and modified. Ages 7-12.

Maker Time w/ Mr. Wade: Amazing Machines

In this class, kids will learn how to use simple machine movements to make their creations come alive! Using around-the-house materials, such as popsicle sticks and rubber bands, we will start with simple mechanical linkage projects and gradually move to more complex machines like hydraulic lifters and hydraulic battle arms! Ages 7-12.
