Community Blood Drive, August 12

Fox Chapel Area High School blood drive – Thursday, August 12, 1-7pm

To help with the critical blood shortage, FCAHS is hosting a community blood drive at the Vitalant Harmar/Fox Chapel donor center at 2585 Freeport Road. People 16 and older are encouraged to donate, which takes about an hour and can make the difference in someone’s life.

Anyone who donates at a local center can ask for the donation to count toward Fox Chapel Area High School’s total by providing the code HS010025. To schedule an appointment, visit Vitalant.org or call 412-209-7000. Walk-ins are also welcome.

Operation Backpack, August 17

Donations are needed!

Sharpsburg Family Worship Center along with Fox Families Care, Volunteers of America, and Backpack for Hunger want to ease the back to school expenses for families in need with their annual Operation Backpack event on August 17. School-aged children will have the chance to get haircuts and shop for back to school needs – all for free!

Please help support the event by donating new backpacks or school supplies or donating gently used items for their rummage sale. Donations can be dropped off at the Worship Center. Let’s give all kids a great start to the year!
