Hiring: Camp Counselor

We’re looking for someone to join our Summer Camp team! Great candidates will have experience working with kids 3-12; take direction and instruction well; and have the ability to be flexible and think on your feet.

This person will be an important part of our daily camps. They’ll greet campers and families in the morning; help instructors clean and set-up for camp; and assist Instructors as needed with projects and activities throughout the day.

This is a great opportunity to learn from professional educators and artists, hone teaching skills, and gain resume experience.

To apply: Please send your resume to Jason Fate at jfate@lauriannwestcc.org.

Maker Studio Wish List

Our Maker Studio is a space for students to make, play, and design using “real stuff” – the same materials, tools and processes used by professional artists, programmers and creators.

Kids use supplies to make cardboard houses, personal sculptures, circuits, robots, and more. With dozens of kids using the Studio every week, we go through a lot of supplies. Many of which you might have around your house!

You can drop off the following items for the Maker Studio at our Welcome Desk:

  • cardboard boxes
  • paper towel tubes
  • rigid plastic containers
  • corks / lids / caps
  • fabric / felt
  • yarn / ribbon
  • buttons
  • beads
  • paint / brushes
  • markers / crayons
  • paper
  • glue
Or, consider purchasing an item from our Amazon Wish List. The students thank you!
