November Group Ex Schedule

Here’s what’s coming up in November:

  • We’ve added a lot of Pop-Up Essentrics classes
  • New Pop-Up Spin classes with our new trainer Mike
  • An additional Zumba class each week
  • Some adjustments to our early morning offerings

We’re interested in hearing what classes you would like to see added to the schedule. If you have any suggestions, please contact Sam McClelland (smcclelland@lauriannwestcc.org).

Get to Know Our Staff

Each week we will be highlighting a different Community Center staff member. This week’s spotlight staff member is CD Jarrett. CD is one of the newer employees at the welcome desk but he’s already made a great impression. Here’s a little more about CD!

Tell us a little bit about your background:

I am married with two grown sons

If money was no object, where would you choose to vacation?

Somewhere with a beach and a golf course.

Do you have any hidden talents?

I’m still searching!

What do you like to do in your free time?

Spend time with family, friends and on the golf course.

What is your favorite food?

Filet, baked potato, bacon and eggs.

What is your favorite childhood member?

Family vacations.

How would your friends describe you?

Hopefully they would say that I’m kind and generous.

Facility Reminders

We love that we’ve started seeing more faces around the Community Center. With the increase in traffic, we want to make sure that everyone is staying happy and safe.

Parking Lot: We regularly have children walking through our parking lot for the various programming that we offer. Please make sure that you are following the posted speed limit signed an watching for any pedestrians.

Phone Use in Fitness Center: For the sake of your fellow members, please abstain from talking on your cell phone while you are in the fitness center or on the track.

Equipment Usage: Please limit your use on each individual piece of cardio equipment to 30 minutes if there are other people waiting for equipment. If you are using weight benches, please allow other’s to work in between your sets.

Winter Weather: Hopefully November doesn’t bring much snow, but we are prepared if it does. Our social media pages will be updated with any closings due to inclement weather. Please remember to bring a pair of shoes to change into once the snow starts. Rock salt on shoes that have been worn outside can cause damage to the fitness equipment.

Trunk-or-Treat Event

Our First Annual Trunk-or-Treat event was a rousing success…and we couldn’t have done it without you! Thank you to everyone in the community who helped us put on this activity for the local children. We cannot say how much we appreciate the local townships, law enforcement agencies and members who decorated trunks, provided candy or just showed up with their children. We’re looking forward to more events in the future!
