It’s Celebrate the Center week! We hope to see you here this week for some of these fun events to bring our community together at the Center…

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 13

• Health screenings with our trainers, 1-2pm and 5-6pm
• Touch-a-Truck event, 4-7pm
  Bring the kids to meet Ranger the bloodhound from the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office. Plus get up close with fire engines, a heavy rescue truck, police cruiser and more!
• Food truck night with Progression Bistro, 4-7pm
  Serving up porchetta sandwiches and healthy salad and grain bowl options

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 14

• Food truck night with Haskel’s Delicatessen, 4-7pm
  They’ll be at the Center with Jewish deli favorites including Reuben sandwiches, knishes, and more.
• Ace Mobile Ax Throwing, 4-7pm
  Ace is bringing their enclosed, self contained mobile trailer to the Center where one of their trained experts will show you how to throw safely and score some points.

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 15

• Whiskey Tasting on the patio, 5:30-7:30pm
  McLaughlin Distillery is a small batch, craft distillery located in Sewickley that specializes in bourbon, whiskey and naturally flavored moonshines. They’ll be bringing their handcrafted spirits for a tasting, including fall flavored moonshines. Must be 21+. $20 donation suggested. Register here.

Thursday, September 16

• Food truck night with Mr. Bulgogi Korean BBQ, 4-7pm
  Grab dinner from Pittsburgh’s official Korean food truck with bulgogi, chicken, gochujang pork, and tofu.
• Car Cruise, 4-7pm
  We’ve put out a call for cool cars to join us for our first ever Celebrate the Center Car Cruise!  Do you have a cool car?  Know someone who does? Email Nadine at  nfostrowski@lauriannwestcc.org to save a spot and come to the Center and show it off!

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 17

• COVID vaccine clinic + blood pressure check, 4-6pm
  This clinic will offer the Pfizer and J&J vaccines including boosters for eligible groups. Appointments encouraged and walk-ins welcome. To schedule, please call 833-653-0518 or click here. UPMC’s mobile health unit will be on site for blood pressure checks and mammogram screening scheduling.
• Celebrate the Center dinner-to-go, 4-6pm
  This year, in addition to our in-person party we are also offering a Celebrate the Center dinner to-go for $100. Dinner for four includes pan fried chicken with a lemon dipping sauce on the side, roasted rosemary potatoes, harvest salad with cranberries and sunflower seeds, rolls with butter, and cocoa dusted brownies. Pre-order dinner here by Wed., Sept. 15.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 18

• Celebrate the Center, 7-10pm
  Safety is our top priority, so the event will be held completely outdoors on our tented patio. All food offerings will be pre-portioned and passed by masked and gloved waitstaff. While it will look different, it will still be a beautiful and fun evening! Get your Celebrate the Center tickets.
