We know not everyone is ready or able to come back into the Center just yet. But we’re making sure that you still have access to all of your favorite instructors and classes, both in-person and virtually. That’s why we’re offering virtual classes via live streaming, 7 days a week, included in your membership!

Just grab a spot in Mindbody and a link will be emailed to you 30 minutes before the live class starts. Don’t have a Mindbody account yet? Click here for instructions to get set up.

Summer Camp Registration

We’re already looking forward to June when we can welcome kids to Summer Camp! Summer Fest at Lauri Ann West will be back with full and half day camp options for kids ages 3-12. Our camp features a mixture of sports, STEAM discovery, and gym/outdoor time in the sunshine. We promise your child will never be bored – we’ll be exploring new adventures each day and new themes every week.

Keep an eye on our website for updates and information!

A&E After School Program

If your family’s schedule has changed in the new year, we can help. Space is available in our Arts & Enrichment after school program from 3:30-6:00pm. Bussing is available straight from FCASD schools to the Center where we’ll keep them busy with time in our gym, Maker Studio and playground (weather permitting!). Social distancing, mask wearing, and small group sizes are strictly enforced for everyone’s safety.

If you’re in need of after school care, contact Jason Fate at 412-828-8566 for information.

Mindfulness Moment

Many of us are spending a lot of time looking at the year ahead and thinking about everything we’ve been through over the past ten months. This week’s practice from mindful.org gives us a chance to just be in the moment.

The more we can focus on being in the moment, the more we can find joy and take on the changes in our lives with ease. Try these tips to be more present this year:

  1. Bring your whole heart
As you go about your day, bring your attention to seeing, touching, and listening wholeheartedly—mindful of how you are touching the world. Take moments to pause.
  2. Find your foundation in breathing
It can be tempting to zone out, worry about the past, or try to make plans for the future. Give yourself the gift of the moment, with a basic breathing practice to anchor you in the present, where all you have to do is breathe.
  3. Savor what comes
The good and the bad is going to come anyway. Take time to be with the moments as they come and savor them, no matter their flavor.

“Do not ruin today with mourning tomorrow.” ― Catherynne M. Valente
