Refund & Weather Policies

Refund Policy

If a program is cancelled in full by the Lauri Ann West Community Center, you may elect to receive a refund or credit towards a future program.

If a program is cancelled due to weather an effort will be made to reschedule the class. If the class is not rescheduled we will credit or refund the amount for that day’s class only.

If you cancel your registration for a class or program prior to the first class date, you will be refunded your registration fee.

There are no refunds for cancellations on or after the first day of class or for unused classes.

Inclement Weather Policy

Lauri Ann West Community Center strives to remain open to the public during inclement weather and will make every effort to do so as long as roads are not hazardous.

When the Center is closed, either completely or for part of the day, we will post a message on our website, Facebook page, and our main phone line 412-828-8566.

Sometimes the Center is open, but individual classes may be canceled. It is always best to call or check the website about one hour prior to class start time.

If you have rented a room or the gym, and you cancel your event, please contact us on the main line 412-828-8566 (x 101) and contact your attendees to inform them that you have canceled.

Arts & Enrichment Program

The state-certified Arts and Enrichment Program (4pm-6pm) after school hours for care will be canceled when the Fox Chapel School District closes for the day when they had a full day of school scheduled on their calendar. We will make every effort to offer a full day care option for parents in need. Please call or email mbecker@lauriannwestcc.org day of to find out if this option is available.

If Fox Chapel closes for the day, and they had been scheduled as a half-day, we will accept the children at 1:00 p.m., as long as roads are not dangerous for staff and instructors to get here. Please call or check the website.

Parents are requested to pick up their children as soon as possible if roads appear or are forecasted to be dangerous.

Please be advised that a power outage or other situation may warrant the closing of the Center. While it is our goal to serve the community, safety of our customers and staff is our number one concern.
