American Sign Language (ASL) with Sharon Serbin

Learn and explore the beauty of American Sign Language (ASL) with instructor Sharon Serbin. The course will focus on themes such as emotions, questions, words, verbs, food, people, clothing and more. A new theme will be explored each week.

Sharon grew up with gradual hearing loss, accumulating in full deafness by age 18. A natural teacher, she spent years teaching at various schools and has a strong background working with children. She is also a communications assessor, communications specialist, artist, creative drama specialist, fitness instructor and motivational public speaker.

Her approach to teaching ASL includes incorporating humor, games and creative drama into each class to encourage participation with hands-on learning.
