Annual Appeal Nets More Than $95,000

All of us at the Lauri Ann West Community Center would like to extend our gratitude to those who contributed to our 2021 Annual Appeal. The campaign raised $95,668, just shy of our goal of $100,000.

Given recent inflation, the pandemic and current overall economic uncertainty, we couldn’t be more grateful for this outpouring of support.

Your gifts will allow us to serve the community throughout the new year with programs, services and experiences that benefit everyone’s quality of life.

What’s New at the Center

New Pickleball Format Announced

The Lauri Ann West Community Center is excited to announce changes to our Pickleball program. Through member feedback, we have developed a new format to accommodate all player types & skill levels and assist in organizing games.

New Pickleball Program Types:

Round Robin: Players of all levels rotate through foursomes in a predetermined fashion. 12-minute games with two-minute breaks and one five minute break halfway through the session. Plan to stay for the entire session.

Ladder Leagues: Ladder Leagues accommodate a wide range of skill levels where participants move up and down the ladder depending on performance. This form of structured play ensures a fun and challenging game!

Reserve-a-Court: Members can reserve a court and bring whomever they want – other members or (paid) guests. Guests are allowed as long as the person reserving the court for the group is a member and present.

Details, registration information and a schedule can be found here.
