Carpe Diem with Power Tone

Power Tone is back Thursday mornings at 5:45am and instructor Jennifer Evashavik is ready to get you up and going.

This total body workout uses sets of strengthening and toning exercises mixed with bursts of cardio that will help you tone muscles, boost metabolism and continue to burn calories all day long! Format changes every week. Appropriate for any fitness level as all exercises can be modified or amplified.

Meet Rachel Turnquist

The Lauri Ann West Community Center welcomes Rachel Turnquist to our team of personal trainers.

Rachel has been a licensed physical therapist assistant since 2009 and personal trainer with NASM since 2020. Her love for fitness developed while working out with her mom as a 12 year old to Gilad’s Bodies In Motion on ESPN.

She has worked with ages 8-100 and enjoys creating fun, challenging and motivating programs that leave her clients wanting to come back for more. Her goal is for each client to leave her sessions feeling positive, confident and accomplished.

Cooper-Siegel Community Library Offering STEAM Workshops

Stop by the Cooper-Siegel Community Library Saturdays in January between 10am-3pm for a 15–30-minute STEAM workshop. Workshops are suitable for children grades K-5.

Audubon Society Hosts After-School Program Jan. 26

Children grades K-3 are invited to discover the unique winter ecosystem of Beechwood Farms during the winter, 4:30-6pm Wednesday, January 26.

Explore meadows and forests for animals and their homes with Audubon educators. Dress for the weather.
